Title: How much water in a 400 litre Tank?
Post by: pure-water on July 19, 2007, 08:44:32 pm
Hi all.

Can any one tell me exactly how much water my 400lt flat tank holds?

I ask as there is always about 50mm gap between the water and the top of the tank. The fact that the Tank lid ring is set down into it by about 40mm prevents me filling it any further than I would like.

I could always make an air hole at the top of the thread, just below where the lid O-ring meets it to allow me to get more in, and I might do that…..But.

Does the inserted lid seal reduce the actual volume of water in my 400lt tank or not??

Just curious.

the 400ltr tanks normally hold about 360ltrs.

I checked a couple of them dry and full on the weighbridge.

Well JM123, I'm glad I didn't post "Well, duh! 400 litres, obviously!" because then you would have all realised what a numpty I was. ;D
