Title: Pressure washer and standing water
Post by: Moderator David@stives on July 15, 2007, 11:37:30 am
Hi

I have just bought a petrol pressure washer and in the instructions it states do not use standing water.

Can anyone tell me why you cant, will it damage the washer, why is this different as using  gravity fed house pressure ?

Hello, it sounds like they don't want you to suck your water out of ponds or puddles, they would want you to use fresh clean water

Hi, most pressure washers are not designed to suck up water but will work fine drawing it from a barrell etc, I use an old black cold water cistern, stood on a metal frame, with hose connector underneath, works great.

Hope this helps...
