Hi there alireza

I cleaned one yesterday with micro splitters and HWE
i dont believe that it is recomended to clean alcantara by HWE.

But it was very dirty cream colour, and i got a very good result
useing this process. That said i used a cfr hand tool at about
150 psi plenty of agatation befor hand.

Forget the guy who tells you to fill in your profile for a perfectly sane question. It probably means he doesn't know the answer.
Alcantara is perfectly safe to clean by HWE. In fact it comes up great. I have cleaned this stuff for years in great quantities with all kinds of cleaning chemicals and never had a problem

Not very nice to insult, but hey I recognise it as trying to stir things up and I wont bite. Surely your better than that? Think you need to read kuiwik's post: 'Profile grief'

Kev Formula 6

As I do not know you, I have no interest to insult you.
If you read my post as an insult, you shoudn't.

The guy who started this thread asked a perfectly simple question as to how people cleaned a certain type of quite common material.  I am sure the same question has been asked before. Can't we give him a straightforward answerto this, or do we feel he has a hidden agenda or that we have to know whether he lives north or south of the Watford Gap

Francis,

It is generally accepted filling in your detials lends itself to more people responding.

I think the way you responded to Kevins post would rub a lot of people up the wrong way if it was directed at them.

Mike
I have no desire to rub anyone up the wrong way.
But here you have a case of a guy who is relatively new to the board asking a perfectly normal question with regard to cleaning a certain type of material.
You were courtious enough to direct him to search whilst giving him the correct spelling to search under. Another member gave him his low down on a recent clean of the same material.
Kev Formula 6 response was little help to this guys problem and if anything probably likely to rub him up the wrong way.

This coupled with the fact that there was another thread running headed 'Profile Grief' where another obviously new member had received the same type of response to a query made me post what I did.
Perhaps, not being a regular member of the board, I have misinterpreted its intentions. If it is to put off newcomers, I hold up my hands and admit I got it wrong

If Lennon was still around he should champion this site and we all might calm down a bit. All you need is love etc.

Lets remenber why we are here eh?

I really don't see a problem. Filling in your profile will get you more responses. Kevin was merely making him aware of this.
