Title: hose pipe fittings
Post by: Mr.G on July 10, 2007, 11:42:39 pm
I've bought a 11 litre Resin Vessel off Ebay, but it came with no fixings for a hosepipe, does anyone know where I can get them?  thanks.

I would also hazard a guess that if you took the vessel to a big aquatic supply center (theres surely one somewhere near you) and showed them what you want to do they may be able to sell you the bits, may be not, but they should have a good idea or three.

I attached a picture but it didn't come up for some reason... yeah, 3/4 inch sounds right v8edd, and male threads. Aquatics, like a place that does fish ponds and stuff karl?

yea, those guys are always sticking bits of pipe and hose on stuff.  I have one just round the corner from me and asked him about giving me the right bits so i could make an over flow for a water butt that a normal hose could connect to.  He said he could give me the bits no problem but he uses taps designed for the water butts as its cheaper and easier (doh!) and pointed to a corner that had em all on a shelf.

I would expect they would be a good source of info even if they did not have the parts.
