Title: m-power vs super nemesis on cushion test
Post by: matt jones on July 07, 2007, 04:26:24 pm
Hi guys,
Back along i promised that i would do a side by side comparison with m-power and super nemisis if john k sent me a sample. Was abit bored this afternoon so i carried out a little test i obtained some very old greasy cushions from a suit about 10 years old which had never been cleaned before. And will post the results below for you all to see, by the way yes i know it still looked grubby i didnt spend to long on it just wanted to see the two solutions side by side. The experiment was carried out fairly, same amount of aggitation, dwell time etc. If this was a job for a customer then it might be wise to use something like alltecs fabric pre wash as ive heard its brill on greasy suits.
Ps apologies for the bad picture quality my camera is wxxk
Enjoy.

First picture is just off the cushion before any cleaning was carried and to show you which side is which.
Second photo is after a little bit of aggitation and a 15 min dwell.

Call me picky matt but from the first to the second picture the cushion has been turned around!

Cheers Goron

Ps results are a little hard to see due to the bright light shining down one side of the cushion!

Matt

From your pictures it would appear that the Nemesis worked better, would this be your conclusion with the naked eye ?

Cheers

Doug

Lol goran well spotted it certainly looks that way strange im sure i kept the cushion the same way round throughout the test. But it doesn't matter to much because as i said nothing had been done to it at that point. So ignore the first pic and concentrate on the other two.

Doug it would appear that nemesis worked better to me its hard to see it so well in the pictures i need a better camera.

ps I'm not slagging any products off here because i use both and find i get excellant results using both it was just a comparison test which as far as i know no one has carried out and posted results on this forum.

Matt,

It's good to see comparartive tests done and ceratinly much better if we keep to the results not the politics.

Without complicating things too much I would expect to be able to achieve a good result on those cushions with a lots of different products.

My current favourite is Prochem Pureclean, MS to some , sprayed on , lightly agitated and extracted.

Cheers

Doug

Guys please ignore the first pic it will confuse alot of people im sure even me. What i must of done is put the piece of paper on taken the photograph the as i started moved the cushion before applying any product. Im 100 % sure that what the bottom picture shows the m-power results to be on the left and the nemesis to be on the right.
Sorry for the confusion guys.

Yes thanks John i was very bored as stated there was reasons i had to do it this afternoon and a had a spare 5 minutes to waste. Flying off to sunny cyprus tom. Also have to return these cushions to the owner asap so he can take them along with the rest of the suit to the dump.
