That means I would have to effectively clean their windows for free twice!! No thankyou!!!!!!! I used to advertise that I would clean customers windows free for the first clean, I got loads of new customers from the add, but believe me you soon get fed up with doing first cleans for free!! but having to do the first 2 cleans for free, no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are that sure of your services then why not offer a payment option

the feeling i get is if you are offering £1000 per month for times which comes to £12000pa then why not charge a bit more like a deposit then 4-6 equal payments to say a total of 2.5 times the monthly turnover

or set up a £12000pa round clean it for three years then tie up a contract and sell it through a decent business selling company for 2-3 times the profit with audited accounts

only a suggestion

I am an ex window cleaner turned great canvasser and i am here offering my services to you to help build your rounds up to earn you a better income. I have been helping window cleaners out by canvassing up new customers for them and believe I can benefit you. I only charge 2 cleans of what i canvas for your round. ie i get you £200 extra work and i would get £400 back from that as a 1 off payment, a lot cheaper than other canvasing companies out there.  I cover London, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey and surrounding areas. Please feel free to contact me for more info

Were you on this site about 8 months ago advertising or am i thinking of someone else.?

Gary.

He said that he was introduced to this site by a friend yesterday and that he had not looked at the site before. Then he posts as morgan1 who has been on the site since July 06. Knew there was something fishy going on with him. I would not want to have him canvass for me, especially if he has told porkies from the begining! I maybe totally wrong about it all, if i am im sorry and tell me otherwise!!

What a shame he dosn't cover my area, I would have loved to have spent a fortune to get him to knock on doors for me, something that I am quite capable of doing for myself!! Unfortuanetely for him more and more local authorities are banning cold calling, so it's a good job you have your own round to go back to. ;)

Its a good idea to use a company to canvass for you if you havent got the time or the confidence to do it for yourself

Also it would make your round more compact, personally i put flyers between the houses i do once a year but you cant beat word of mouth

It seems to me that all the round builders that use this site stuggle to live up to their promises.
Surely it would be easier for them to be honest about what they can achieve and charge the right price for their services.
With rounds selling for sometimes 3/4 times the  value surely there must be some middle ground for round builders in general to provide quality work for those that want it .

I use the original roundbuilders, and i can not fault thier services in anyway. I have been using the girls for nearly a year now and im more than impressed with not only the quality but very well priced work. I can get hold of them by phone and email and i get an invoice for all the work that is canvassed. I pay x2 for the work generated, and i can honestly say that i have not had one of the jobs canvassed drop out. If it does happen i know that it will be replaced or my money back. I think also it depends on the type of customer that you have, i have to hold my tounge with some of mine, but i could of easily dropped them and said that they had cancelled so i got it replaced. Its about having an honest and good working relationship with people, and i have that with Gemma.

Who gives a monkeys!!!

niceandclean,

If you like Roundbuilders, good for you. I have recommended company's and products here before aswell, but I draw the line at slagging down the competition!!

I have read about Roundbuilders ignoring numerous emails from a member here before. However I haven't heard anything bad about this new round builder so wouldn't comment on his operations!!

In every industry there is more than one business operating in the same field. And yes, some even have the same name :o

Slagging down the competition, you have only read half the story Pro, the other thread has been deleted!!! I cant comment on other peoples dealings with Roundbuilders, the only bad thing i have read if i remember correctly is the guy who had a long thread going on here last year who got banned from this site a few months later, used to be a web designer or something?? The reason why i have got of my high horse Pro is because i was made out to be the bad guy to a newbie, and i was upset he was lying,  not only to me, but to all of us thats all!!
To be honest i dont care who you use, if you use anybody at all,  im just giving my opinion thats all!! As i know, unlike all the other canvassing companies, Roundbuilders dont come on here all the time advertising thier services, so i just like to try and help them as they are a great bunch of girls!!

It always surprises me that those offering a canvassing service don't stress the genuine benefits.

The main one being that an established wc wishing to expand doesn't have time to canvass and it is more cost effective for him to keep earning and employ a specialist to find more work of a proven quality.

The fact that the emphasis seems to be rooking newbies makes you wonder.

Roundbuilder, why come on the forum telling us how great you are at canvassing and offering your service then not bothering to get back to people  lol

Morgan,

You have to be honest and upfront with your potential customers (cleanitup members).

This forum although sometimes may not appear to be due to the minority, are running successful, reliable businesses, some may require a marketing campaign and the majority will not.

All the best.

One last thing, what is your real name?

Regards

Nathan Ferry

How bout this....

A roundbuilder confident in his ability to canvass work subs all future work out for say 5 to 10% with an option to purchase once round is established.  No money up front. All wcs who want more work can request it and canvasser can work knowing he has a regular income and an assett that can be sold or not.

Say 2 years at 10% covers what the roundbuilder wants (X 2.5) Plus option to buy at end of term or extend the arrangement. Come canvass for me at 10% with option to purchase and you can knock yourself out full time.

Wc gets as much work as he wants for a manageable rate and roundbuilder gets anywhere from X5 to whatever.

No brainer to me but everyone seems to want the cash up front. I think you roundbuilders are missing a trick, if you done 10% you would have every wc on here wanting your services.

I hate canvassing and thats the only reason I am not offering this service.

BVC. ;D
