What kind of cloth are you using, are you using the same cloth for detailing as well as for wiping the windowsil?
-

hi there
we use WFP and do a bit by hand we use a cut up old t-shirt for the frames and sills and a scrim for the windows and when moving from house to house i stick it on the vents for the wind screen and put the heater on to dry them out
-
thats a good idea so do u think i should invest in more than the four scrims i have already ??? ??? ???
-
use less water on your applicater ,
-
so how many scrims should i be averaging a day and do you wash them everynight or just let them dry
-
I usually get through just one scrim in a week as I mainly just use if for leads.
For the most part on regular windows I use green unger microwipe cloths. Depending on the amount of work I have, I get through about 2-4 of those per day. I usually take one or two home every couple of days to be washed if they are really wet. If they are just damp then they usually dry overnight in the car. If one of the damp ones is still too wet the following day and I can't be bothered to wash it, then I just use it as a sill cloth.

Use an old squeegee to wipe to water off the cills first and as said previously, use less water on your mop. Saves a lot of time when detailing.
-
You are going to use a lot of cloths as you are new.
4 cloths are not really a lot if i was you is buy some more as when your work builds up you will need more.
When you have the hang of window cleaning you will only use a couple a day.

Just remember the more water you put on , the more water you squeege (wipe)off.

When I first started I was using 10 scrims a day and was washing them everyday aswell, god how things change years down the line, I wash scrims now every other week if that thins weather 1 scrim a week and one for sills.
in the winter I use more, to be honest with you, do not worry how many you use you learn as you go, if you use 20 a day for the first week and earn money who cares your earning money and your scrims with be broken in real quick aswell, you should try a microwipe for detailing they suck the water off and dry very quick aswell.
Good luck and stick with it, we all started at the same place.
