We have in the past but there maybe 100's of business's with this name.
Which part of the country are you talking about
-
Hi Ok. have seen your van around my area so I know the final flick you are talking about.
I have just sent off for the documents to take them to court over a £600 invoice they haven't sent me a penny. Have only just seen your post, and I done the work for them between the 11th and 13th of june in basingstoke, build cleans. 2 weeks before your post. I know that you know Mustafa the window cleaner and that he done a bit of work for them, but not much. Would strongley advise against anyone working with them.
Would love to hear if you worked with them and if you did, how did it go.

Likewise, we had to go to court aswell. would suggest that anyone stays clear
-
not looking good for them then ::)
Maybe it is there final flick till they move or fold the business
-
Ian, it is unfortunate, but businesses like this do tend to be able to get away with this sort of thing. We are now talking 3 years ago plus and obviuously they are still up to old tricks!!!! We actually contacted Wimpey Head Office in the end to let them know what was going on and why we were refusing to do any more work for F.F I would suggest that anyone finding themselves in the same situation does contact the builders head office to let them know. The reason I say this is that the "site foreman" is usually the one to take on cleaning companys and the FF lets say had an unfair advantage with the site we worked on! ;)

I hope you don't mind me asking Helen but how did you get on in court.
In my case, they took me from 2 houses before they were finished because houses on another estate were due for inspection and were urgent. Then to another estate that was also urgent. Then told me they would contact me about finishing the first 2 houses.
2 days later they called to say I had done a crap job on the first 2 houses.
Thats right, the ones that weren't finished because they took me away from them to work somewhere else.
Now they say that they sacked the manager, and lost the contract. And won't pay me for the houses because they never got paid for them.
If that's true, they never got paid because of their own incompatence.
We'll see if the judge agrees.
Did you get your money Hellen?

go to watch dog or the papers, and see what they have to say, annoys the hell out of me, I would get my money back very quick or it would cost them more. Not that I would use them from what I am hearing and if I ever did they would be signing a contact that I produced.
it could be just a couple of people that do work for them didnt get paid for what ever reason but so far it is not looking good. If you do work for someelse even if they do not get paid they are liable for the monies they owe you, unless it says it in the small print that they dont have to pay.

We had signed contracts with our pricing structures and lead times required etc etc. At the end of the day if someone doesn't want to honour a contract it is not worth the paper it is written on. We believe from what we hear that many have experienced problems with them

Helen,
I would then take this matter futher, and if they still carry on I would apply to put them in bankrupcy if possible.

We didn't quite get there as they decided to pay about 2 days before it was due in court....they didn't want the bad credit rating against them. They did have to pay all related costs though that had accrued. If it goes to court contact us and we can supply you with information if you need it to prove that they have a history of doing this sort of thing. :)
-
Ian as the last posts says we were lucky as we got payment in full eventually ;D We would have gone to every length possible to retrieve our money anyway even if they had not paid

Sounds about right for how they work, although we did used to ask for site contacts in the sales offices etc, so that we could get work signed off etc even if the FF people were not around. This is how we got to know the Main companies and why we reported FF to them. We had trouble with gaining access to places that had been agreed and also invoiced them for time lost etc etc. What site was your work on? I would be inclined to speak to Barretts or whoever and explain that you feel FF is giving them a bad reputation, by saing they have renaged on payment and therefore cannot pay you. This manager sacked business is probably a load of twaddle, anyway your agreement was with FF and they are liable to pay you.
Our experiences were 3 years ago, but it became very clear that they knew little about showhouse cleaning, very little about window cleaning and even less about builders clean........apparently they could get windows complete with frames, all gutters, fascias and soffits on a 5 bed house in Fleet cleaned for £15.00. That is when we told them to go use this bloke then on your newbuild sites as we won't work for you again!

hi helen and maddog and others l knew l wasnt the onlyone l did a days work for them in bracknell (the new block of flats named celcius) and aft er l spent my whole day in the site l did not do anywork at all l was talled by mandy and did not get paid l called the head office and they did not have any of my records l was talled l decided not to follow the matter any longer thought to much time concuming but never will work for them again
-
Hi Ok. that would be ok if you worked there by yourself for the day. But If you had already paid staff for the work done, as I have, it means I not only worked 3 days for nothing, but I also paid for another 2 people to do work for them.
I have spoken to mandy, she lives in spain.
I don't care where she lives, if I don't get my money, we will go to court.
You shouldn't let it go. Thats why she is doing it, because most of the time she gets away with it. send her a "letter before action", easily downloaded from the internet.
It doesn't matter how much money it is. It's WHO'S MONEY it is. And it's your's.
Don't stand by and let people take your money.

Guess what Hellen. You were right.
The lady that had apparently been sacked phoned me today from final flick.
Went to give me her name and stoped herself.
I had her number saved on my phone and recognised her voice straight away.
These people obviously think we are as daft as they are. ::)

Lucky we are not, but they still manage to carry on and con people.
As I said before, get on to the head office of the main builder and let them know what is happening and say that you know of others that have experienced problems with FF. The more the "head" people are told that FF are giving them a bad reputation the more chance that maybe one day they can be stopped! If you need back up for your court proceedings, let us know :)

I did phone Barrat on friday, no answer. Will call again monday.
I also mentioned to the lady on the phone, what was being said on this forum, you know, the one that forgot she doesn't work for f.f. anymore.
Claims they have never been taken to court by anyone.
I then asked her why I would believe anything she had to say.
Anyway thanks for the offer Hellen.
Intend to call ok cleaning on monday, but I don't know how to contact you.
If you like, my num is 07957 363 419
Thanks, Dave.
