Can anybody help me please?
I cleaned a cream carpet yesterday and the stains on the carpet went away and it looked lovely.
Customer rang today and said that the stains have come back and agreed that they were not there when the carpet was wet.
My questions are
1. how have they come back?
2. how do I get rid of them?
Hope you can help

What kind of carpet?
What kind on stains?
Whereabouts?
How big?
What Colour?

Possible answer something called wicking
what happens is the stain is caused by a large spill, you clean and the mark goes away, but as there is still some of the spill in the backing as the carpet dries it wicks back up and becomes visible again.
Remedy = go back and clean again give extra attention using handtool rather than wand and give a good flushing thru, as this problem usually occurs whilst drying it would also help to force dry using turbo dryer if possible, that way you know once you leave the mark is gone for good.

yep sounds like wick back to me as well, red's advice is sound.
failing that tell them the carpets possesed by sprits and needs an exorcism. ( £42.38 per square meter) + plus holy water

the reason the stain came back was you didn't take it far enough away.
if I want to get rid of a stain I blindfold it and take it at least as far as Blackpool, then it never finds its way back.

Ps; or perhaps it did'nt go anywhere!! and it was just hiding so you could'nt see it, they're bloody sneaky are them stains, never trust any of them,

I think it has more to do with their new signing, holding their midfield together under pressure and taking the lead in the 89th minute.
