IS 500L ENOUGH FOR 2 MEN DOING LARGE COMMERCIAL? water will be turned on and off, there will also be a varistream, If it won't, any suggestions for trailer tank, to carry more water
-
If your DI only you should be ok if they have a tap on site,if your close to home and fill via a static tank you should have no troubles.
-
my tds is 34, so will use di, but I will be far from home 30 odd miles, so might not be able to fill tank up, it depends on the property.
-
My guess would be no, if you are doing a full day. My wife & I work together on a regular basis & we average around 600 litres use per day.
However we don't use a varistream so maybe that might help with your water usage.
-
Why not get an 800L tank and be done with it, atleast you wont run out. Don't forget the payload on you van.
-
the van will be a scudo, the payload will be 815kg or 875kg
-
you'll need a renault traffic for an 800L tank
-
i,ve had 2 scudo,s, cheap but not best vans. We have a 6oo in ours & its resprung with uprated springs, but i still dont like them as much as a bigger van.
Just looking at a vivaro if all goes well in a couple of weeks.

i do not think 500 litres will be enough, but depends on how many windows there are and how dirty they are ;)
-
NO, you need 800ltr tank at the least.
Nel.
I use 600 ltrs on my own in a day on domestic with microbore hose.

:o :o :o 600L on yer own!!! :o :o :o
Get a backpack mate. I did a full days work all with my backpack and only went through 180L.
When I use the van mount I would go through nearly 350L in a day.
What setting do you use? Must be full on?

I reckon I use 200L per £100 I do.
If you're using the same flow, then you have big days!
-
That sounds about right squeaky.
By the way..... how you getting on with wfp? Are you finfing it's easier now.
It just that first few months that can be a killer. All that first cleans!

Not bad.
Need more work though, as it's given me a whole week off. :-\
-
Don't get a backpack, you will then have 2 weeks off!!!!
-
Yeah, with a bad back.

Yeah, with a bad back.
Always looking on the bright side of things ;D

i thought it would be hurrendous with the backpack, just got one last week and wouldnt look back, this is bar far the best way to clean domestic work!

Large commercial = high flow rate, large usually means lots of big windows, back pack totally inappropriate for work of this nature.
I suppose that with a variflow attached you will be able to cut the amount of water you use to a minimum, but you'll struggle to cope with just 500l unless you can fill up.
If you are working 30 miles from home, what is the tds of the tap water in the area's you are working?
If low enough, as has been suggested you can work DI only and simply find a tap to top up your tank.
But for two men, be sure you get the larger Vivaro/traffic/primastar van, (should you go for a larger van of course) my own (a primastar) has a payload of just over 1000k, I have a 650l tank, were I to fit an 850l one in there, once a full tank of fuel, my own weight and the weight of all my equipment is taken into consideration I would almost certainly be overweight.
