Post by: davep on June 19, 2007, 05:24:48 pm: Has anyone been approached to advertise on Post Office Tv? They charge £20 per week for a advert on the screen you see when queing at the Post Office.. This is after they say que's are getting smaller?

I think these companies prey on new people.

Years ago I went for an interview with such a company, I walked in the room, and was told everything about me was a nice person therfore he would not be taking me on.

And you can buy stamps in any corner shop and car tax online now. I only use them to post Ebay stuff for the missus.

Post by: sohoit on June 24, 2007, 11:14:06 am: I did hear something along those lines recently. In fact I think in one of the FSB magazines it was asking members to cast their votes or something. They were saying that small businesses rely on their local post offices, far more than larger companies. I tend to agree - its much easier to visit the local PO to send documents and buy stamps. It would make life harder if i had to travel to my main PO everytime i needed to send a recorded letter or post a parcel.

Our local PO has one so i went to have a look to see if the queue of people were looking at this TV thing. No one takes a blind bit of notice.
These things are just the next stage up from year planners, another waste of good money.
