I met the Facelift guys when I was at the Cleaning Show in Birmingham NEC earlier this year.
I really fancied one; it's light but strong and I like the way it's designed; sort of a cross between modular and a standard fibre glass pole; so you can use only the sections you need.
Anyway, they (the 'Facelift guys') told me that if you purchase direct, you'd get the pole cheaper than purchasing it from a supplier.
They gave me a card, but I've lost it!
So get googling! I'm sure they can supply you quickly; they make the things.

Am I missing something?
2 Months!!!!!!!!
I had to wait 2 days for mine.
What exactly is the problem. Are you purchasing direct from facelift or a supplier?

Its been I nightmare, facelift have messed up and have lost business and if I cant get one in the next 14 days they wont get my business
Andy

Why did you go direct to facelift?
They are useless.
I emailed the several times about a fault with the pole and the never once got back to me!
You shoud have used cleantech. They dont mess anyone around.

You guys need to try Welmac ;)

Oh dear, sounds like they shot themselves in the foot with that one. They sound a bit desperate.

I just phoned them about their 44ft (from hip high) carbon pole (with glass on the bottom section). They quoted £874 + VAT which comes to about £1,026. Ouch !! Does that sound about right? I'm astonished it's so expensive but it looks like I will be needing a pole of that height in the near future and I do want a light one too. I thought about a modular carbon pole such as supplied by Garner's but feel that I'm too slob handed for something that delicate.

Just realised that I've resurrected an old thread but it's still a relevant issue :)

Hi Shiner,
The Facelift is a good pole and very adaptable.
It might be too late for your needs but we have got the Super-Lite Mk2 coming out in late September and it is about 4 times stronger/tougher than the previous model Super-Lite. The top section (which is what takes the strain when shutting windows etc.) is strong enough to play baseball with! and still only weighs 125g for the top 5ft.

That does sound interesting Alex and it may be in time for what I will be needing.
A few questions (apologies if you have already answered them on here).
1) Is it modular or telescopic?
2) Do you have a gooseneck for the top section (assuming the pole can cope with one)?
3) Is the pricing going to be around the £10 per foot area like the Mk1.
I am slowly losing my aversion to modular poles. The penny has gradually dropped that such a pole is really only to be used on certain jobs in order to preserve it. Most of my work can be done with an 18ft Extender pole. A bit cheap and nasty for some people's taste but I don't mind changing a cheap, lightish pole twice a year if it will help preserve my shoulders and elbows.
Using a lightweight modular pole on most of my work would be like using my best suit to play football in.
It may well be that the work that's coming in isn't so urgent so late September may yet be OK. Things will be clearer over the next couple of weeks.

As my Topic seems to come back alive! I might as well update!
It now seems facelift have sorted the problem with supplying there poles and it should be much easier now if you are looking to purchase one! I am a new owner of a 44ft facelift pole and very happy with it :)

Hi Shiner,
Even with a Facelift pole you would still want a smaller sectioned pole for low level work. I use a 13ft Xtel and a 21ft Xtel, very light, cheap and easy to throw around I then save the Super-Lite for serious work.
1) Is it modular or telescopic? Modular
2) Do you have a gooseneck for the top section (assuming the pole can cope with one)? The new Super-Lite2 will takes 3 different goosenecks, standard plastic, our G-Fit ones and an even deeper reach G-Fit that we have (2 ft reach in)
3) Is the pricing going to be around the £10 per foot area like the Mk1. It should be significantly cheaper than the Mk1, particularly with an introductory offer we will be running throughout September and October. (the Mk1 was about £465 for a 35ft, the Mk2 will be about £350 for a 35ft one)

Thank you for your comprehensive reply Alex. As helpful and efficient as ever :-)
If the timing of the new work permits it, I may well go for your Mk2 modular pole to use on certain parts of certain jobs. If used sparingly and with care, it could even last a slob hander like me a long time. I would probably buy 45 ft initially. As it's modular, would I be correct in thinking that I could buy extra sections later (if needed) and that I could just slot them in OK?
I would continue to use my 18ft Extender and my 2 x 3ft pole for the bulk of my current work. My need is to give myself an easier time when working to greater heights. I like the sound of your Mk2. I held back on the Mk1 as I was concerned about breakinbg it. Also, I hadn't got my head around the concept of not using it as my main pole but only for higher work. I did like the weight of it and general ease of use at height (I met up with Tony Jardine for a brief try out).
-
Extra sections can easily be added later (as can be on a Facelift), and at no cost penalty, (about £50 for a 5' 3" section).
-
Alex are the Mk2 any good for domestic work or just commerial cheers
-
Anyway you can rush them poles Alex!!!!! :) if I get a contract in the meantime that requires a big pole don't know what I'm going to do, may just tell them they will have to wait until this new one comes out. If I can manage with my 25ft until then then all is fine! Luke
-
Many WFP'ers use them for all of their work, you just have to be careful. I personally would couple one with a lightweight telescopic from the Xtel range, I reckon they are faster to use on low level work.
-
Alex i`m interested in that 13ft and 21ft extel that you use for everyday use,i handled 1 at Tonys and it felt a bit whippy are they both more suited to the light brush.I think the 21ft 1 would be ideal for tops and bottoms on most work so no need for a short pole on some jobs, any news on that new brush yet.
-
Hi NWH,
I think Tony had one of the earlier ones that had less overlaps so they were a bit more whippy. They are still more flexible than the Universals though and I would always couple with a lightweight brush anyway.
The 21ft is one of my most used poles (apart from some Prototypes!!) We hope to have some news soon on the brush front.
-
If i buy them 2 poles off you tomorrow will you sell me a prototype LOL.PLEASE. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
In your dreams :D
Tony has been trying to get one off of me for months! I do not think that he would speak to me again if I let you have one.
-
Oh go on even if it`s just to wind up Tony,i just want to see him squirm. No but seriously Alex when you get them in put me down for at least a few, can`t you even send me a slightly used one. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Just want to know this Alex, will your new modular superlite always be in stock, as I can see this being a big hit, so I don't want to be left out if they are all sold off and then I need one!! ps. will the new brush come with the new pole, and is the new brush like the new multipole brush? ( give me a real answer this time, none of that "well it has a stock and bristles, so yes it's like the Ionics"!!!! :) :) ) Luke
-
We aim to have the Super-Lite as a standard stock item, however they are built in batches of 400 poles so at certain stages we will have to re-order them, lets hope we schedule the production run in good time!
The new brush will function much the same as a Multipole brush, there will be some differences though which is why customers will buy them from us in very large quantities, and no I will not go into detail as the IPO design protection is not fully in place. :)

>:( >:( >:(, sound great, I've said this before Alex and I'll say it again, you seem to be the one fo the only people in this industry who cares about development of products and the humble window cleaner, keep on going, you seem to be overtaking all the competition.
