If, like me, you don't like water spraying all over the place whilst altering the pole length, or moving from window to window - you might like to try this. The photos are self-explanatory. The attachment is a eyelet from an ironmongers - bent over in a vice and fastened with a jubilee clip (I don't know what type of hose it is)
-
Why not just fit a connector tap on the end of hose?
Did have a picture of what i mean, but can't find it.
It basically is an ordinary connector like the hoselock but you can turn the water on or off with it.
-
??? Why not just fit a flow valve on the feed line to the pole? £10 from Gardiners and you can also control the flow.

I think that my way is easier! Plus, you don't have to walk back to the tap connector. I use the short pole, off a single ladder, to reach awkward windows. I can alter the angle of the brush head without getting wet and without getting off the ladder.
-
Put one of these where your jubilee clip is now, save you even more time and you can adjust the flow too.

Maybe some should convert to silicon type hose, no taps incredibly flexible, pinch to shut off or press to slow flow, but problem is you might have to do some work to experience it.

we sometimes use a small ladder to get up and over akward objects (ie conservatory roofs exstensions etc etc)

John Tomkins. I don't see what you mean. Are you talking about the in-line ball valve? If so, how do you extend the pole - the hose has to be able to move.

Mike,
Extend your pole then fit the valve and pipe, then when your pole is down you just have a hanging loop.
Seems to work well ;D
