I have just got in from canvassing today.
I thought i would try to get some customers around my house(most of my work is about 20 - 25 miles away from home)
I had a few people say yes, but there was no way of getting around the back so i just charged £3 for 2 windows and a door. I thought ill take these little ones on as they are easy and if i had a few it would be worth while. then a few people said they awernt happy with the window cleaner at the moment, and could they have a price.i said £7 for a 3 bed semi. the other guy was doing it for £4!!
Then i priced a house with a big conservatory, there were 22 windows in total for the house and the con, so i said £12, thinking it was a bit cheap, but being as its on my door step itll be worth it.the other guy was charging £7!!
How can i compete with these prices?! He must be working all day and coming home with £60!

If that's in Chepstow it one of a few.
We're over-run with window cleaners.
It's not me, Ian, Tosh, Simon or John, but there's plenty of cheapos about.
Doesn't help matters does it? :-\
I'm short by a whole week now I'm on the pole.
What chance have I got of canvassing much new work? :'(

this is in cardiff, i moved not long ago.
I guess its some valley boys charging peanuts!
Chepstow prices are fine i think. As a majority, the window cleaners in chepstow all charge a decent amount, so theres noone charge stupidyly low prices.
so its taking you longer using the pole eh?
any regrets?
