Title: looking for 12 volts supply

been trying to find a 12volts supply in my new van today  to open  relay when ignition is turned on  to start charging battery , van is the new shape fiat  scodo,  has any body got any ideas were i can connect into

On most vehicles the brake switch feed will be an ignition on feed.

does that mean its a only live when ingintion is turned on

Yes

Modification to post to answer point below. I was referring to the feed that supplies the brake pedal, which is live with ignition on. I should have made that clearer sorry.

But won't that live feed only become live on applying the brakes?? unless you wire it in before the brake pedal switch.

if thats the case I would take it back to ignition switch or even better the fuse box.

Hi

Use a split charger relay.

This connects up to both your batteries and the battery charge warning light wire (thin one) from the alternator. If you carefully follow the wiring instructions that come with your relay you will only charge your leisure battery when the van's engine is running.
