Don't remember anyone posting about this before.
To save paying stupid prices (£20+)for these pressure switches (in my case shurflo) just get down to Maplins and you can get one for the grand total of £1.41.

Cut off the top and lower side connector and bob's ya uncle ;D

What switch on that site is the one for the shurflo 100psi model.

I use a varistream so have no use for a pressure switch, it's just some WFP users around my way have been using them for months and months now, they are only a microswitching device that picks up from the pump itself.

You can use either switch, it's just the bottom and the 3rd connector up that you need, cut the others off flush.

How many was in the pack?
How many did you try?
Did you adjust the pump so the switch wasn't continually "cycling" ?
They are just a simple on/off microswitch that if set up correctly will last ages and ages.
Your "Get a Varistream" helps no one, if the pump is set up correctly you can get away without a varistream, plenty on here do, I wish I hadn't initially payed out £90 for one knowing what i know now, but now I have I'll keep using.

I bought 5 and used 2 in that same afternoon. Contacts burnt out both times - didn't seem to be as 'robust' as the original part in the pump.
On the advise of Williamsons I bought a Varistream pump controller and have had no problems since then.
In all due respects I fail to see how adjusting the pressure switch will prevent the pump cycling, as it cycles when you are using slightly less water at the brush than your pump delivers.
The Varistream allows the flow rate to be adjusted (amount of water being pumped by the pump) to prevent cycling.
I find that the Varistream is the best bit of kit I have and recommend it as an essential every time, especially as I have brushes with 2 and 3mm jet sizes.
I am sorry that you are not of the same opinion - but I suppose that it's 'horses for courses' and there are so many variables to put into the equation - hose size and length, jet sizes, flow rate required by the operator etc. Its what work for you.

If you had your pump cycling continuously then no wonder your switches burnt out.
The idea is to adjust the pressure screw on the pump itself so when you turn your water flow on the pump starts then when you turn the water flow off then the pump stops.

You can't adjust the pressure switch, it's just a basic on/off microswitch.
You can adjust the pump itself to shut off at required psi.
Glad your sorted now though.
