Where are you and what sort of prices do you quote presently?
I think you must over estimated your profit if you get calls but not work. I don't know wheteher my 'forum collegues' agree but it tends to be that a high percentage of inquiries turn out to be customers as they ring you either because you have been recommended or they are desperate and have seen your ad.
Where do you advertise?
You will indeed find loads of info browsing on this site.

hi, i guess it depends on if you are supplying the materials as my bosses charge £12 p/h and we supply materials but now any new customers they have to supply the materials which i think is wrong when you are paying that much, as for commercial i think they charge around £14-£15p/h wich is a bit steep my previous employer had different rates days would be minium wage, evenings would be £6;00 and weekends £7.00. were in the midlands sure they get lots of calls but i think they are a bit expensive as they have just took over the compnay and prices have gone up but everywhere is different.
