I was just reading the same old threads and was woundering, if you fill your bucket with pure water then just mop it on and leave to dry would it work? I know on wfp u have to rinse, but maybe give it a quck blade down. I recon it could be goos on lead.

I use pure water on the insides, a dash of squeegie off, mop and blade, you get very good results.

i might start trying it, tbh i dont rate wfp at all i only use mine for awkward windows and conroofs, give me a mop and ladder any day i only got my system because people on here rave about how quick it is :-\

Why do you not rate WFP ?

I don't rate it for results compared to trad, but it's certainly usually good enough to get away with, and I'm definately making more money.

And that Squeaks, is what it's all about. Historic words from the forums "ex "number one WFP sceptic. Dai

i started a thread the other week about applicating with pure water, and didnt get much response other than why not wfp it all.
I been using pure water downstairs for last week applicator and sqeegee with excellent results. Just use a new blade more often and on some days a very small squrt of fairy for slide. Hardly needed to use microfibre to wipe edges, mind you i do dogear too!

I dont rate WFP because its a pain and i belive many people on this site overhype it. For the lucky persone that picks up a round with all good frames and good conditions windoes away from trees then go for it, it would be awsome. For me wfp on tree sap is a joke, wfp on bird muck and egg is also a joke and i also do some grade 2 listed geourgen houses wich end up takeing far to long and the frames just make the job unbarable for time and effort. I am only 23 and can fly up and down a ladder all day so speed wise its not as good as i tought and that was what i bought it for.

I dont realy see the point in using pure water and squeegee it off, you mays well use normal, you know it is about a 3 to 1 on the water you get. So thats a hell of a lot of waste water mate for somthink that does the same job.

Biscute,
how long did you use your sustem before going back to the ladders?

Yes. Occasionally I need to attach a scraper to an Unger pole and have a little scrape around to hasten things. It's very unusual though.

WFP is the future your never gonna progress without it mate

Dont get me wrong it is ok, but thats all i still do use it but not for simple windoes. if it worked id rather run up a ladder mop the window up and straight back down and leave to dry but i was just woundering what it would dry like?

try it on your own windows...
but crap i imagine!
