Title: Carbon facelifts again
Post by: Davew on June 01, 2007, 10:31:46 pm
Lots of good reports on here for these poles but I'm curious as to how fast they wear? My first glassfibre lasted a measley five weeks before the fibres stuck in my skin and the clamps couldn't hold anymore. My modular carbon scratches easily too, but do they wear better?

I have had mine for about 6 months and apart from marks on the brush it still looks as good as the day i got it
i dont think you can go wrong with a facelift pole

With the carbon facelift it`s a bonus being able to take the sections out,you get a real build up of dirt at the base of the sections but having the luxury of being able to do this you can keep it in tip top condition,i spray WD40 on the carbon sections and then spray them with the modular build up spray.

I thought these were telescopic poles?? Are they but you can take pole sections out ?

Is the hose in or out?

If in, does that cause any problems as I've been told it does.

They are telescopic poles but you can pull the sections out
When extending them to warn you that that section is at full extention their is a red band about 9 inches from the end so when you see this band stop extending

and yes the hose is inside but i have not had any problems with it i personally wouldnt want it on the outside on the outside i would find it difficult to work with

Anyone else got any more suggestions as to a nice 24 footer c/f not g/f telescopic with possibilities of being extended a little higher?

Paul

Is it possible to buy the 24ft facelift, then at a later stage buy the extra lengths to make up to 34ft.

What about the new 34ft X-Tel Hybrid. I like the idea of the shorter sections on this pole. Anymore comments on this pole.

Stu, it would have to be at an unbelievable price too for me to buy one! Don't get me wrong I'm sure they are the dogs wotsits but I'm happy with my modular pole at sixty quid a time. I'm just curious about the facelifts at the moment thanks.

Anyone using a Facelift had any problems with the thread when attaching the goose neck to the top section. The thread on our 60 footer is very iffy ???
