Looking at mine today and I reckon I've got fifty metres of tired pipe and fifty of almost new. I think I might strip the hosereel and mount it with the worn half first.

Now theres a darn good idea I have a cut in mine that is about 10 mtrs long It started when it got wedged under a gate with a sharp edge on it and I reeled it in and didnt notice untill a fine shred was winding around the reel with the hose, ever since then its bugged me but swapping ends may just be the ticket when its a bit more worn
Thanks for that

That is a good idea.
When I got my Microbore Ian noticed that his was half again the diameter of mine.
It obviously swells after a while.
Mine's ok so far, but my clear tube to the brush is worn, and sometimes kinks. >:(

Back to the hose. Mine is 15 months old and apart from being scuffed and dirty its as good as new. It should last at least another 15 months.
