Title: Recoil 3
Post by: paul@ctcs on September 17, 2004, 09:48:35 pm
Evening Fellas, With the carpet cleaning side of CTCS really on the up with virtually no advertising at all about  1 to 2 jobs a day, I'm going to upgrade from my commanche to a recoil 3 hopefully early 2005, maybe before if i'm lucky. As we are set to push the advertisments, a more versatile powerful machine would be a real plus.
At £2500 + vat the price this side of the pond is a bit steap, would it be viable to import a machine from the US and convert to suit our power suply?

Paul  :)

P.S, Having neighbours in the US millitary i may be able to wangle getting it over here.

Paul;

Many thanks for your thread and comments regarding the RECOIL Series.

I would like to answer your question hopefully without any pointing the finger at me in regards to selling.

I believe that my answer would be the exact same as any other creditable  manufacturer located any place in the world.   Every manufacturer whom promotes innovative quality and performance in their machines, also promotes (as part of that same product) SERVICE and CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

I realize that when one is looking for a purchase, they only see the "Price" of the item without a thought as to the real meaning , or Value of the word; "Service".
Price is Now; Service is something we sometimes do not see or realize. Service incorporates: TIME that in many instances, is FREE.

All our domestic UK sales are in the hands of a very wonderful and proven company; CLEANING SUPPORT LTD.  Why? Because this is perhaps the most important COMPONENT of the Product. SERVICE, as in your business, makes and keeps the customer very Happy and supported in years to come----far after the sale.

Without SERVICE of this kind, any equipment or product can really cost you a bundle of money once you flip the switchs. They have far exceeded any support I see here in the States, and they educate the customers far beyond the call of duty.

Whenever we ship our 240v systems, we use special components (non-generic), and they are getting even better as we move along.

As in your business, the exact same rules apply:

"There is a Big difference between "Price" and "Cost".

"Price" is a one time thing; however, "Cost" is what you will pay long after the sale is over. As the old saying goes, good things seldom are cheap, and cheap things are seldom good."

CLEANING SUPPORT Ltd. looks forward to meeting with you and becoming "Your Silent Partner".

Good Fortune to all;
Ed Valentine
cross-american corp.

Hi Guys

I just know I am going to put my foot in it again with this one... Hey Ho...here goes....

Why all the fuss about the prices of machines and chemicals?

So a machine costs £XYZ.... and chemicals costs are pro rata

Just consider for a minute what your potential earnings are with that 'expensive' piece of merchandise and those equally expensive chemicals... I think if you are honest you will find the cash return for your money most acceptable

Are we becoming ....sorry... Have we become a Nation of whingers???

and before you ask..... No, I haven't been drinking!

Just thought I would liven things up prior to the weekend  ;D

Hi Derek , i apologise for the whinging, it must be something thats rubbed off from the Mrs ;)
In many your right but why pay more than you have too for something? in this case i think Ed's post makes sence the service, back up and piece of mind may well warrant paying the extra.

Paul

P.S, i got no gripe with chemical costs, well not yet!!

I'm coming in a little late on this discussion (worked late  :( ), but would like to endorse Eds' comments both on the value of the 'service' element  and of Cleaning Support.

This is a division of A & M which is run by Robert Mc Cane. The Mc Cane family is well known within the industry for giving the very highest level of service to their customers and I can honestly say that it is truly a pleasure to do business with them.

Recoil owners, On another thread various add ons for the recoil are mentioned, are any of them essential or does the £2500+vat get you a machine thats ready to work?

Paul, the only essential add on in my opinion would be the in line heater as the Recoil does not have a heating element, although someone tells me that this is now being fitted to UK models.
