Do you mean 1000 litres. The 2.7 has a payload of just over 1000kg so if you do mean 1000 litres then no. If you have the 2.9 that has a payload of just 1200kg so maybe, but remember you have to add the weight of yourself, passengers and other equipment.

Sounds a bit much. :o
I've got 400L in one, and I can feel it sloshing about.

If it's the 2.9 then an 850l is probably the biggest you should go for, it's pushing it though...
Rog, the reason you feel the water sloshing about is cos you need more baffles in the tank, easy enough and cheap enough to do if you don't like the feel of the sloshing water.
One way is to fit downpipes, cut down and slotted in like a honeycomb, but that is pricey.
The other way is to use land drainage pipes, way, way cheaper, they are flexible too, already have holes dotted throughout them so you should be able to feed it through as you please...to a point anyway.
I keep meaning to do it myself, but never seem to get around to it :-\
I've the same van and have a 650l tank, I can feel the water in there when the tank is half empty, but the effect is minimal, even under very hard braking.

I have a 2.9 tonne version (it's the Renault Trafic so same as the V V). I have an 800 litre tank and would be a bit overloaded if I fully filled it - I tried mine at a weighbridge). I do carry other equipment though including a 50 litre trolley that was fully loaded when I tested the weight. If you have a 2.9 tonne version you could fill the tank up provided you dont carry so much equipment and you weigh less than me (the last bit is very easy to achieve) :) .

problem with more weight is if you run a flat tyre for 10 yards or more then it's a replacement tyre not a puncture repair.
three times this has happend in a year.

I better go on a diet then.

I have the 2.9 tonne Renault Trafic.
I already had a 400 litre tank from a previous van so bought a 650 litre tank, giving me a total capacity of just over a tonne.
And before anybody accuses me of overloading my van I never fill both tanks up completely, it just proved almost impossible to find a regular shaped 500 litre tank at a reasonable price.

you can always join tanks i have a 400ltr joined to two 125ltrs
