Title: X-Tel pole range
Post by: Lee. on May 25, 2007, 09:02:30 am
I have noticed that Gardiner pole systems are selling the x-tel pole range. Has anyone used them? my Glass fibre pole has snapped because the pole guides wore away and I was extending it past the length that I should of. :-[

How light and rigid is yours Jeff when fully extended, and can you take sections off like the facelift?

Simon.

£299:00

Its stiffer than the fibre glass ones but still flexable, I have found it best to extend each section by 80% of its length, you can't remove the sections, but at a closed hight of 5' you don't need.
For lightness I can only say its lighter than my 24' fibre glass one

Jeff i am in the market for a new pole, i have a g/f 24ft, its ok but fully extended bends like a banana and hurts my back ect, just looking at the new 34ft pole you have, so would you think this is the pole for me? sounds good. Thanks Rob.

Same here Rob, not really happy with my 24ft gf and was originally going for a Facelift 34ft as recommended by quite a few on here, but there was at the time about a 6 week wait and couldn't wait.

These new poles have shed a new light on the subject.

Jeff

Do you want to bankrupt me? Your pole wasn,t £299. I hope thats a typo add 1 to the 2 mate  :D

We sold out of the Xtel composites in just a few days from the Fed show. A new shipment will be with us around mid June. They will be available from 24ft up to 35ft.

OK enough from me. Its bank holiday and I am not on my own comp. (Its the gliding clubs)

Cheers

Sorry Andrew  ;D ;D
I even got the invoice out to check the price, ;D but with my eldest daughter kicking my a**e, to move out the way so she could continue with the decorating, it was a typo error ::) even my Boss shouted over the correct price to me.
If I had stopped to read before posting I would have seen my price error.

My opology's to Pittmonkey for the stupid error of my way's and a big opology to you Andrew, at least it would have got you more sales ;D ;D ;D ;D

I was just about to order 3  ;D

But seriuosly, in comparison to the Facelift price it does sound quite tempting.

I did have a feel of the Facelift poles at the Fed show and thought they were great poles but missed the x-tel demo's.

Anyone there who compared them and what was their opinion.
