Title: SMARTER WORLD- TFR or TYRE RESTORER???
Post by: macmac on May 24, 2007, 11:24:56 pm
Just received some none-caustic tfr from smarter world after reading that some forum members have used this, but, no where on the container does it say owt about it being traffic film remover ???
It says its tyre/mudflap trim or something, with instructions to use as being- apply with cloth or spray, wipe away any excess & leave to dry :-\
Now hopefully i'm missing something, or am i?
Any one else got this stuff? is it the right product?

any help please

Hi Tony

I got some from there as well didn’t come with any label at all :o No data sheet

I was surprised the courier actually handled it

Hope to god it is TFR used it twice now but only on Gutters and Facia boards.

hi wayne
I used it today & it worked ok, but then i dont know any different as i've never used tfr before, same here, the label had the delivery notice stuck over it. only when i removed it today did i discover the description of the product!! no data sheet, not even an invoice, emailed them yesterday, no reply.
I think macc & BAZZY1999 use this so any advise from them would be great.

I also had to chase the order up. I received a conformation email but the 0845 226 0170 number goes to another company nothing to do with them. Manage to get in touch and came a couple of days later. No invoice though.

It does the job though on gutters etc. I have a Con clean this weekend, just a bit worried about the Non -Caustic issue.

Perhaps Bazzy can shed some more light on it

Di's, Yep you were spot on Tony. The system is runnig perfect no probs at all.

Wayne and Tony....... ive never had a problem with Smarter world with there dilivery or products and there was always a label on them and an invoice.

It says its tyre/mudflap trim or something, with instructions to use as being- apply with cloth or spray, wipe away any excess & leave to dry :-\

This is not TFR so i wouldnt use it for cleaning...

If you both let me know what colour it is or a pic (would be best) i might be able to let you know what it is as i have a lot of there valeting products in my garage..

Also let me know is it a 5L or 25L drum (plastic or metal)

Mmm got mine a few weeks ago and its definately marked up as tfr with all the info on the label you could want. Think they call it Fleetclean non-caustic traffic film remover same as Borgs link.

Got it sorted guys, phoned them this morning & they explained that it is indeed tfr, the labels dont stick to the plastic very good so they put an old label on first then stick the delivery notice over it (thats what happened).
they assured me that the proper label was on the other side with an invoice but has come off in transit. :)
Thanks for your help.

Hi Rhino

The job went OK considering the weather. Sprayed the tfr left for 5 mins then brushed. The roof wasn't particularly bad but still had to do a lot of brushing.

I don’t know if my mix was on the weak side 1/10 or if the rain kept diluting it a bit. Kept raining on and off all the time, got so bad a couple of times I had to quit and shelter.

It also felt like I needed to use a stiffer brush than the Vikan 10" when trying to clean the struts at any distance.

Custy was very happy though. Took less than 3 hrs but if weather was better I reckon it would have taken 2.

Another one on Thursday.
