Hi Chaps, Just wondered if any one could give me some information on free listings on the web.

you could try charlotes web , heard it was good plenty of reviews.

Type into google "carpet cleaner + (your area)" look at the directorys that are bieng used by your competitors and away you go, or type "free business listing" most will call you and try to upsell to a premium listing but just tell them to p!ss off.
