Title: Upvc cleaning

Going on  from the oven cleaning thread i recently start cleaning upvc windows.A company was advertising in the local press upvc cleaned from £85 for a three bed house based on six windows and one door.I looked into this and got some upvc cleaner from a local janitorial supplier some cream cleaner added the service to my van advertising and hey presto the work start rolling in.

Steve,

Sounds a good idea,  but does the stuff really work, better than say a spray of m/s..

only trouble is,  I hate b_ _ _ _ _ _ _    ladders !

How do you agitate ms on a hard area witch is more of less vertical Duo not that good in this area.

John ms = micro splitting agents predominately soft furnishings.

Steve are you also taking up wc?

While on a rental property clean we came across a PVC patio door covered in some kind of greyish muck which refused to shift with anything less than scrubbing it with cream cleaner. Then i had a brain wave, ECO SPOTTER!!! A quick mist and a couple of mins and the muck just wiped away with ease.
Yet another use for Eco Spotter, never leave home without it :)

len no i'm not taking up wc

mike about 1hr to 1hr 30 depending on how bad they are.

Still havn't said how well this 'special stuff' works, does it bring it up like new??

I use m/s on everything, cleaned my plastic gutters & facias with it recently.  Fortunately didn't have to take the Host m/c up the ladder!    ;D

Brian the stuff i use is called Sabre pvc-u solent cleaner available from Spectrum 0191 4301111 it is good stuff for really stubborn marks a cream cleaner can be used.There are lots of pcvu cleaners available you just have to find one that works best for you.Speak to some window fitting companies and ask what they use that is usually a good start.

Dosnt that waterless product work well on UPVC.

Steve I take it you have to climb a ladder.

I think on the Windows site they have also said waterfed poles are good for UPVC

Hi Guys

Solution No 7 Ceiling and wall cleaner is the best option for UPVC, very effective still MS with no detergent so slows down resoiling.
