Title: WASHING LINES

Do you just hate washinglines, every time I go to do the backs of a house My ladder always gets caught in it!!! Why do they put thatlow i'llnever knowWhat do you lot do  to get around this annoying problem??

You just have to grin and bear it.  The amount of times I've knocked my muddy ladder feet against a nice clean sheet.  :-[ It's not as big a problem with wfp though.

Wait till you get a postage stamp garden with half dozen lines criss crossed over it. That's fun & games.

Some years ago I started suffering back trouble and I started looking at trying to cut down on all the weight I was carrying (5 ltrs of water instead of 10 in my bucket etc). I also looked for the shortest size of ladders I could safely (emphasis on safely) use to do the bulk of my work and discovered I could do virtually all of it with a 2.7 metre set of ext'n ladders. One unexpected benefit was that I didn't get caught in washing lines half so often.
