hi,
being new to carpet cleaning im hearing people are using different methods. What is the best?
Prespray whole carpet, aggeitate then rinse with wand.
Or just prespray high traffic area's.
Or if carpets are good just run the wand over.
I would be very interested to here your veiws on this.

Pre vacuuming, pre spraying with a micro splitter, agitating & rinsing is in most cases for me far the best method for cleaning carpets. This technique ensures all the carpet fibres and therefore soil is in contact with your cleaning solution and doesnt require over wetting, so drying times are kept to a minimum. Another Plus with this approach is the clean water rinse, thus leaving the carpet free from residue which is a good sales point to make with customers when performing surveys.

Bob,
Stick to Neil's method and you'll be amazed how much muck comes out of what at first sight appears to be a clean (ish) carpet.

Cheers Everyone i think i will follow Niels advice and vac with my sebo, pre-spray and aggitate then rinse. This was the metheod i was planning on using.
If it was a large carpet would you pre-spray the whole carpet or do it in sections. Just trying to find the best methods. I have been on a trainning course with the NCCA which was brilliant i picked up a lot of infomation.
Cheers

Say a long corridor in a hotel/office I would do it in stages the air con dries the pre-spray to quickly, but if you take an empty room say a lounge 23ft X 13ft would split into two.
