Parker Knoll suites are usually of excellent standard. I guess it will either be dralon or a good quality cotton/poly flatweave. Never had a problem with them. Any suitable products will give a good result.

Morning John

I was passing Newcastle a couple of days ago and intended calling in to get some of your products.............but, believe it or not I got lost and was runing a little late.

Is the feed back on your new product good ?

Most acrylic suites are of the Dralon style of fabric. No problem to clean but a little more physical effort is required compared to flat weavews.

However, I have cleaned a G Plan plain acrylic flat weave many times for a customer over the last 18 years or so. Any greasy marks from "family life" were an absolute pain using detergent solutions. When I changed to micro-splitters the results for cleaning were about the same but spots were much easier to remove. To be honest, I can't understand why as it still amazes me how well this suite responds to MS.  It also dries VERY quickly. I'm talking about 30 minutes :o so detergent pre-sprays can dry out if you're not careful and will require re-application. This is the only acrylic flat weave I've ever cleaned.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Dave
Quick drying was with reference to the flat weave acrylic. Dralon style is a bit longer.

safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi Guys

Sodium tripolyphosphate, microsplitter to some,  is known to be very effective on grease.

Cheers

Use MS on every suite, I find there is nothing else can beat it.

If that's the case pHil, then I'll use nothing else ;D

I love MS. But when I started cleaning this suite all those years ago, One Step hadn't been born :o Solvent rich upholstery pre-sprays were ineffective in this case and solvent spotters struggled. One  spot in particular never came out. Then one day, I tried M/S and it was a revelation. Spot gone without any extra work 8) 8)

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Dene, I think they are all as good as each other, but I use Solutions and buy in 25kilo drums, works out much cheaper, + I like the lady who answers the phone! ;)

Interesting about Sodium tripolyphosphate if you Google it. It's in many types of cleaning products.

Is this all that is in Micro splitters Doug?
