You need to T Cut wax the van to get the shadows off. Worked on a vauxhall combo i got as my first van.
-
G3 compound is better than T cut, its more abrasive, it can be used as is but its best to wet the panel being worked on first as it makes it easier to work with, any local automotive paint supplier will stock it, a tube costs about 5 quid and will do several cars/vans,saves the arm ache of T cut if your doing the job by hand, finish off with a hard wax to protect the finish Andy
-
if writing is still on make it warm [ not to hot ] with a hair dryer it will peel off then go over with T cut
-
as the post above says use G3 or another rubbing compound, t cut is not heavy enough. then polish with auto glym super resin polish
-
I used citrus gel to get mine of.

T cut works fine, done about 5 vans with this and takes the shadow off well.
-
you must of rubbed harder ;D
citrus gel is a good idea ;D
-
its easy hair dryer and a stanly blade to pull edges up with saveing your nails
then rub glue off with unleaded petrol
g3 on a power polisher
forget a. glym its cheap tat use zymol its the only way

i got the company that sign wrote my new van to remove all the signs off my old van
they did it FREE
-
i used brasso which did remove 95% of it and the last few bits were removed with petrol

Steam, eco spotter, t cut, then polish :)
