Hi guys.
After lots of searching the internet, and this forum, i decided to upgrade my little porty.
Having set my sights on a mytee speedster i called Matt(Cleansmart), to be told that he would not recomend that machine as they are having a few problems :o. Matt did recomend the Powr-Flite Perfect Heat with wonder wand and cfr hand tool which looks just what i need and in my budget .
Now i appreciate Matts honesty regards the speedster but after searching this site i cannot find much about the Powr-Flite Perfect Heat and wondered if anybody has one and what they're thoughts were?
Thanks in advance

Very interesting comments, as I purchased my speedster in Nov last year from Matt, and was told the complete opposite, ie, not to go for the powr flite.... >:(
-
Yeah, I have heard lots of good thing about the speedster ??? I can only go on what was said, and i have no reason to doubt Matt( he sounded genuine enough) but I am a bit surprised.
So i guess its back to the drawing board and more searching :-\

You didn't do a thorough enough search. ;)
'speedsters on ebay' thread in bought and sold
Matt told me the same story, however I've been trying to find the people who were having the problems, sure there was someone who said their speedster had dumped it's contents.
I think the woodbridge one is different anyway.

been running the speedster and 2 inch vac tube to a wonder wand for 8 months now, very heavy use, came from matt at cleansmart, have had no problems at all......???????????????? ???
-
Never listen to a supplier only end users and always get a real life demo before you buy. If a supplier cant do that then move onto the next one.
No reflection on Matt as he is a very helpful chap.

Speak to Paul king I think he bought quite a few of these machines a few weeks back, he is a multi van opperation so should no how they perform !!

No Paul bought Rhinos, different machine.

If you are still wanting a Speedster have a look on ebay. Guy called Alan selling them at £1900 inc vat hose & wand.
Really good service, sells vac motors as well.

I've had my powrflite 500 for just over 2 weeks now.
My first thought when it arrived was, what the f**k have i done.
It's big and heavy but does load easily thanks to the dolly wheels on the handles.
with tap hot water in the 55 litre tank, and the perfect heat valve open, it pumps it out very hot. Suction is on a par with my Ninja, cleaning carpets at 4 - 500 Psi, gets through the solution quickly, but the wonder wand leaves 80/20 virtually dry.
I think perhaps seperate lines instead of the hide a hose would increase CFM even more.
The drain hose is a bit of a dogs dinner, but a waste gate would stop the easy loading.
There is a Knack to filling it as the solution tank opening is very small. The pigtail leads take some getting used to. but i have used a Ninja for 6 years so anything is going to be different. The body is not as well made as a Ninja, but overall in performance it's very impressive. A cotton suite i did the other day was dry before i'd finished 3 carpets, and i do not blow dry suites and never have, my customers are happy with 12 hours drying times, for the prices i charge.
Customers are impressed with it and know you mean business. It makes the NInja look like a toy. With 60 feet of hose i can honestly see no difference at all to 30 feet, time will tell if it's reliable.
I don't know what pump is on it, as although 500 PSI, the other day i inadvertantly wound it up to 700 PSI.
I've experimented with pressures, and today cleaned some factory offices low profile carpet, out in the sticks so very dirty, 200 PSI did a fabulous job, and used water at about same rate as 100 Psi Ninja, just wound it up to 400 Psi to finish the worst areas near the door in from the farm yard.

I Have had a the powrflite p.h for over a year now and am very happy. The build quality is excellent compared to the rhino I was using. Drying times with the wonderwand are excellent, I also use the same wand with my new prowler with excellent results . You can really flush the fibers without soaking the backing. The machine itself is very reliable, no problems so far and even without the heater cold water gets to a good temp due to the coils on each of the vac motors. Got mine from cleansmart and would recomend it

How are you getting on with 2" hose, does it make a big difference on the Speedster and have you got 1.5 at the wand for manouvering?
-
Thanks for the responses guys.
I am upgrading from a Sensei so i guess any machine will be an improvement ;D.

Hi Mike,2 inch right to the wand, well i'd love to to tell you it was easy but it takes some getting used to, at the moment i am using 1 fifty foot length with the solution hose cable tied to the vac hose , and i have to say it is rather bulky when it comes to coiling it up when you pack up at the end of a job, setting up and during a job , i find not much difference as far as monouverability is concerned, as far as air flow, or suction is concerned, well its like adding another vac, with the wonder wand attached at the end the air really whistles and howls at the wand vent, drying times are even better, the wand really sticks to the carpet which isnt a problem as you know if your using the wonder wand correctly, it would probably be easier in 25 feet lenghts but i will persever with the 1 length for a while longer as the performance is astonishing in comparison to 1.5 inch hose, the speedster is good enough as it is but with 2 inch direct to the wand its like a different machine. good luck.

Don't have a ww yet. Do you need a CFR attachement for that like the handtool?
-
no mike, but if your using 2 inch hose , get a 2 inch to 1.5 inch reducer cuff.
-
Thanks Joey,
I think my new machine comes with a reducer. Just hope I can lift it in and out of the van as I've not been down the gym lately ;D

I have used my powr-flite for about 1 year now having sold my ninjas and there is an improvement you should notice. Also many customers are impressed with its visual appearance so theres two advantages at least.I buy all my kit from Ian Monk at cleanmachine in Wallingford and have always found his advice and aftersales spot on.
