Title: Ebay...
Post by: calmore on May 12, 2007, 11:25:40 am
This made me chuckle:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140116384373

"Carpet cleaners are in very short supply. This is one of the easiest industries to get into and with the information in this ebook, one of the easiest industries to make money from.

Just think of the money that can be made by having the skills and information to back those skills. I had my carpets cleaned recently and I was charged £190.00, just for a basic clean, which took the gentleman less that 15 minutes, imagine what I would have been charged for a deep clean."

£190 for 15 minutes of cleaning??!

Wonder if his ebook is full of similar gems..?

David

I think you need to put your prices up too.

Surely that pitch does them no good at all because most people have at least a vague idea about cc costs and it just smacks BS.

If they said you can earn 30-40 an hour, start off part time with an investment of only a few hundred, it would be far more believable.

Exactly.

It also makes me wonder why the seller isn't in the carpet cleaning game himself if it's such a good business to be in!
