Title: filling a water butt

hi im crystal clear, i have a van mount system and i have my ro4040 in the van. i just wondered you know after the ro the water goes into the tank can i disconnect this and put a long hose to go into my garage from the van? if you know what i mean.

Where you have the outlet to your hose is your choice.

I guess by this you are wanting to fill up a water butt in your garage as an overflow or storage tank?

All you will need is a submersible pump and you can then pump the water from your storage tank back into your van and away you go!

I've been thinking about saving water. Partly as conservation, which defra's consultation paper would seem to support, and partly as a 'grey water defence' should the drought order come in that this time they have made clear would include us.
It would cut down on my bills as i am on a meter.
It would also be a good enviromental selling point possibly stickered onto the side of my vans.

I have a large five bedroomed house with a largepitched roof ground floor extension, a detached double garage, and a shed /chalet the size of double garage. My point being that this 'roofAge' for want of a better word could suitably fed into water butts supply a lot of water to my ro rather than the drain.

There might even be some grants avialable or some tax advantages, any DIY site that supported such a scheme could well cop for some defra money.

Just an idea, I'm not hot the mechanics, but I think at some point this will have be pursued .
