Title: leaflets
Post by: markpowell on May 09, 2007, 03:58:05 pm
Hi Guys,
Has anyone ever placed leaflets under car windscreen wipers in supermarket carparks and what kind of response did they achieve, i know it would be a fast way of getting them out, maybe diy store carparks, any ideas or experience of this type of leaflet dropping?

Better idea

Park your sign written van outside supermarket on a saturday with leaflets in a holder stuck on the side with a 'Today Only' offer.

Where would one obtain a suitable receptacle for displaying ones leaflets, chaps?

you can get them from staples. clear plastic. attaching is more problematic and need to be removable really.

I do this and sit in the van eating a sandwhich and doing paperwork. Don't expect a rush though.

when we were heavily into car valeting we did leafleting this way and it brought n stacks of work, and you can cover a lot of cars in a short space of time, did get one or two irate people tho :P

never tried it with our carpet cleaning leaflets tho, different ball game, probably not the best way for your reputation ;)

saying that probaly no more annoying than having leaflets shoved through your letterbox ;D

regards
steve

As an aside I stuck a little sign to my car a few years ago: "Anyone sticking leaflets to this vehicle hereby agrees to pay the owner of this vehicle £50 for each leaflet".

Unfortunately, the leafleting stopped!

DIY supermarkets work to an extent. Design a leaflet aimed at people decorating explaining how clean carpets will really finish the job off and give their newly decorated room the finishing touch.

Why not sponser a disabled persons buggy. Mobile advert. Do their carpet for free if they will let you paste a leaflet on their chair. Just a thought ???
