Same answer here. Not worth the money and liable to burn out again apparently.

They are so cheep anyway just get a new one. Best, Dave.
-
Have you found a place that does it?
When I phoned our local rewound place they were not interested. Told me to get a new one. New motors are probably made in low labour cost countries and the cost of repair would be high.
I think reround places only repair big industrial motors.

I was replacing a motor in the garage when a neighbour came over for a chat,he mentioned he new someone in the business.Iv'e kept a couple of burnt out motor's so I thought I would ask on hear first. The motor for my machine are around £200 with the vat.

I use a local company,
I agree they do tend to concentrate on industrial, but dont mind rewinding pump motors etc,
last one I had done was £150 and included bearings, was for cash mind :) although a verbal guarantee was forthcoming.
he also said postal repairs were ok Geoff

Geoff
I presume that was your big pump.
Woodbridge will repair smaller pumps , I was told it was cheaper option.

Yes , Ian complete rewind and overhaul of the motor,
not worth doing on a vac motor.
