Title: Cleaning your own carpets
Post by: *paul_moss on May 06, 2007, 08:55:51 pm
How clean are your own carpets.

I cleaned mine today for the first time in 18 months :o :o.
And hated doing them for some strange reason.

I found this really strange as I totally enjoy cleaning my customers

You must have a very understanding wife Paul..................I did ours a week ago and prior to that, about 3months ago.

This time I tried encapsulation and was very impressed with the result.

We are all wood down stairs  ;D so its only stairs landing and 2 bedrooms as the other 2 are wood.

What chem do you like using best for encapsultion ? Do you vac it out  after its dry ?

I was just experimenting Paul...............I had the Cimex product and some Chemblend chrystallising foam, I was surprised to find the cheap stuff giving a better result.

Never vacuumed until the following day and I was really amazed at the result.

Normally I sub it out till wife compiled how long it took them, they took more time in drinking the tea.

Martin

I deduct it out of the house keeping, only one problem instead of stake I get beef burgers.

far to often i have to admit.
I have a defective gene or something, wife never nags me, but does notice when they are done and appericates it, I still have a office at home and surpirsing have much more traffic it gets than just domestic use.

Lounge/ hall, every 3 months, the rest every 12

Downstairs every 3- 4 months and about every 9 months upstairs.

Not wearing outdoor shoes indoors helps keep the muck down, two Black Labradors coming in from the fields negate this completely.

They dont go upstairs at all and are kept out until they are dry but they still manage to get hair everywhere. ::)

Do mine every 6 months or so.... When I clean them suddenly the Missus seems to turn into a real expert in carpet cleaning, and keeps saying if I were doing it I would do this, or how can that stuff (MS) get the carpet clean you are not using hardly any surely you should put much more than that in lol. A real customer from HELL  Love her heart lol

I don't do them myself. I get a guy with a truckmount to do it 'cos they look impressive and dry carpets a lot quicker apparently.
