Could you use deionised water bought for kettles, irons etc to clean the windows of a building using a three pole trad extension pole and trad scubber sleeve, without leaving streaks?
-
The deionised water in bottles is the same as we use, but at 50 - 60p a ltr bottle it would work out very expensive.
When I do inside work I use pure water and my trad gear and the windows come up a treat, so no reason why it shouldn't work on the pole.
Is there no one who lives near you with wfp gear, you could get your water from them so much cheaper and for a larger amount.
-
thanks jeff, thought I was probably miles off the idea.
I did try a test window at home and no streaks but as you say it would probably work out expensive.
Cannot afford the unit just yet, my lady thinks we should be on the housing ladder!
-
What area do you live in, I'm sure there must be some one near you, were you can pick up your water from.
Tell your Boss she has expensive taste ;D ;D
-
good idea as I do have a contact who has RO plus de ionised etc who would probably sell 20litres or so.
Thanks mate.

where are you based, im sure some1 on here would let you have a 25L barrel full every now and then

Combat, If im reading your post correctly then you are thinking of dipping your scrubber in pure water and just washing the glasss with it, If thts what your idea is then No I dont think that would work as you need to create a flow of pure water to let the dirt run down and off the window
Apologies if im misunderstanding you but I think thats what your question was

Hi Pat ;)
It does do a good Job of the windows, I use it on inside cleans
with a little squeegie off in the bucket ( just for the glide) its just useing clean pure water, but if I have 2 houses next door to each other I change the water.
But I do understand what your saying.

Jeff1, The way Combats question is posed I think maybe he means not to squeegee just wash with pure water
-
Hi Both
The idea was to scrub the glass and squeegee of using a back flip.
I have managed to arrange a supply of water and have trialled it and yes it works o.k.
I must start a fund for WFP.
Thanks all.
