Just fitted merlin flush kit and run system for 2 hours but it is not back flushing and there is no water in back flush cylinder . Do we have to pressurize the cylinder or are they already to go .Or is the pressure to high in the cylinder.
-
either the pressure is too high in the cylinder or you haven't opened the valve on top of the flush tank
-
Valve definately open. Any idea what pressure in cylinder should be .

Still having problems with flush tank .Water is travelling out of top blue elbow along the tube but still not entering flush tank ,tap is open and cylinder pressure seems to be about 8 psi.Any ideas please.
-
if you still aren't getting any water into the tank then you have to do it the hard way - get all the pressure outof the tank, let the water run into the tank for about 5 mins - release any pressure that has built up (leave the merlin running) and allow another 5 mins. once there is a good dose of water in the tank close the valve - once you have enough water in your storage tank switch off the merlin and repressurise the flushing tank using a compressor or bicycle pump etc. then open valve to flush out the merlin.
there is another way but I'll have to post a pic.

Thanks for that jm123 are you saying i will have to do that every time to flush the merlin .I don,t have a float valve in my static tank i just turn off when tank is full ,but last night i blocked the product tube into static tank and it slowly started to fill pressure vessel i then turned off merlin and it slowly did flush .I thought these vessels were suppossed to fill at the same time as you were producing pure water into the static tank, not have turn the flow off from my static tank so as to fill pressure vessel.

they are designed to fill as you are using the merlin but the unfortunate thing is that many manufacturers assume we all have 100psi tap pressure.
-
Do you reckon then if i lower pressure in tank it might work a little better
-
yeah but leave it for now, I'll post some pics of a little adapter I use. Just give me a day or 2

i was told you do not havs to back wash the merlin.
