Title: Weed kill before or after cleaning?
Post by: Mikescape on May 03, 2007, 10:57:02 pm
Can anyone advise me on the best time to apply weed killer when cleaning block paving. I have always looked at each job and if there is moss but no weeds or just a few weeds, I clean first and then spray with weed killer but if there are loads of weeds growing I think it best to spray the whole area with weed killer, then wait a couple of weeks before cleaning with a rotary cleaning head. Just wondered what everyone else does.
Also if appling after cleaning, do you resand first or after weedkiller?
Cheers everyone
Great site this is!! ;D ;D

You should treat with weedkiller before cleaning as the weedkiller has to penetrate through the leafs to be effective

i do both,

sodium chlorate (i think)  with watering can 7-14 days before if infested with grass etc,

if no time then after clean before sand and poss after sanding also. as required.
