I have a shurflo 100psi pump which I just work off on my own, but I'm looking to take on someone in the near future and would like to hear all the pros and cons with 2 poles working off 1 pump.
Some people say that the only way to do it properly is to have a pump each, a varistream and a battery each.
Thats a bit expensive at the moment and would just like to run a y piece off the pump to split it on to 2 reels. Some people say it doesn't work and others do???
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

PRO'S... cheap
CON's.... EXPENSIVE. The pump will be working it's nuts off and don't let anyone tell you any different. Especially if you are using mini or microbore. You wont get equal flow rates so you will be limited by this. Your pump will be far more likely to die a quick death and if.. sorry.. when it does 2 of you will be sitting around waiting for a replacement. In all probability 3 days without working. However with 2 pumps you will have total control individually and its far less likely a pump will die on you. Also if one does you can always quickly connect the 2 reels to 1 pump and at least still earn while you wait for the new one.

Done it before and it effected the flow so slows you down. If I did it again I would def have seperate pump for each pole.

Thanks brightnclean and da services for your input.
I will take your advice and go down the route of purchasing another pump and vaistream.
How much do you think it would cost me to get 1x pump, 1 x varistream, 1x metal hose reel with 100m of minibore and a small 12ft pole complete with brush.
Under £300?
Cheers

Matthew,
I have not checked recently but best price for pump and vari is williamsonpumps, they supply to all the suppliers, go for gardners but they do not sell minbore, that's a cleantech thing, go for microbore jus the same. Had no probs 1.5 yrs on.
They were the cheapest when I checked some time back but prices change.
