customers offering a cheap clean, obviously none accepted but what a joke!!

Some of you guys better get a grip maybe the guy cant afford a motor or a van.How dare he walk about with a ladder, some of yous sound like stuck up wee snobs, half the time when iam out cleaning houses i wear an old Celtic top and a pair a jeans customers dont care as long as there windows are clean and before you ask i pay tax and iam insured. Some of you should remember at the end of the day were only window cleaners.

Another thing what does a home made ladder look like.
-
Yeah - how can you be a snob and a window cleaner? ???
;D
-
:-XAlright guys calm down, im not a snob at all but i don't agree with people trying to rob houses at 2 quid a throw and then dissapearing when the sun goes in, it gives us a bad reputation, i believe in providing a quality, professional sevice, whats up with that?

think i made this point on another post well said above
-
i forgot the ladder was a step type held together in the middle by somthing that resembles rope, it was truly dangerous!
-
Yeah - how can you be a snob and a window cleaner? ???

If he wants to do them at 2 quid that's his choice.
There might be a guy around charging twice as much as you, who thinks you're a cheapo cowboy.

i know what you mean!
im not a snob, but me personally, i have a sign written van, a uniform consisting of a sign written polo shirt and black trousers and even shoes! always clean shaven and smart hair
this has made my buisness lots and lots
so no im not a snob...but im a professinal and thats why people come to me

Ive got a sign written van to wear a uniform when doing commercial work who cares. When somebody uses WFP on here and goes into a traditional window cleaners patch nobody bothers but when its the other way around you get all the usual stuff not paying tax cowboy ect...this post wasnt about WFP but getting fed up with everybody slagging of people that use ladders and i use both.

If you look professional, act professional and charge a fair price for a good job you will not need to fear the overnight sunshine brigade.

regarding Darrens post, i have total respect for trad and wfp cleaners, i myself am mainly a trad cleaner and use ladders daily, but the point of my post is that these fly by nights take the p$$$. i am not saying they are on the dole, don't have insurance etc etc.
