Title: Need some Microbore
Post by: Bobs Window Cleaning on May 01, 2007, 06:45:36 pm
Where is the cheapest place to buy 50 metres of Microbore. I need it for my trolley system and may buy a hose reel as well but already orderd a new pole this week so the budget is tight. ::)

What is the difference between Microbore and minibore?

2mm ,    microbore has 6mm inner-dimeter & minibore has 8mm inner-diameter.

i've never used either bod but will be switching to minibore soon as it seems the extra 2mm bore size gives the pump less hassle. i've read quite a few posts on here with people having pressure/pump trouble with microbore but never with minibore.

micro is better unless you are using very long lengths in which case you get pressure loss. Smaller is better with a trolly system because you will pump out the air locks quicker and use less water doing it

Yes there are different qualities.

Sorry for butting in  :P

I used to have the stuff with a white inner and it kinked and wore out in no time. I have the stuff with the clear reinforced lining now and it is far better. Also I had flow probs with the 6mm and switched to the 8mm (Minibore) and it made the world of difference.

I use the cleantech minibore and think its excellent.

I also have microbore and tricloflex both collecting dust at the moment.

With microbore i was getting pressure problems.
When i changed to minibore the pressure problems ceased.
