Hi Neil

If I understand your question your are looking for mktg specific to quoting for commercial jobs.

This may not be worth your time pursuing but I read something about 6 months ago that was a directive of the eu's or possibly our own govt. but it was based around the condition of the the office environment and bacetria etc. and more importantly related to the carpets. Someone had used it on their mktg and I remember thinking how powerful the info could be if used properly. Have only just thought of it reading your post. I'll look up some H & S stuff or maybe NCCA will know (do you know anyone there?). Whoever finds it first gets a gold star and promises to share info with the other.

Its not clear what you want.

I have a Manial on Commercial Cleaning but there is nothing in you do not already know.

If you have not already done it Alltec do a Commercial Carpet Course.

Hi Neil,
I dont know much about commercial pricing to be honest but by going on what alot of the others say they charge i would say that is quite alot 30p sqft. I went a done a quote for a hotel back along the area was for 1600sqft and i couldn't even get away with charging 20p a sqft. If they have accepted then well done mate but i expect most people would charge 10-15p sqft for that size. But then like i said i don't really know what i'm talking about just going by what prices people have told me in the past on here.

Cheers Matt but I just took an estimate on the time it would take me and the amount of moving around 2 be done. Price has been given a 15% discount so is coming out at around £1200

good thing is she will keep me informed abou the other quotes that come in because we seemed to click and she wants me to do the work I think.

Fingers Crossed but it is a lot of work

"we seemed to click "
And there we have it folks.
If you can`t click with people, your going to struggle in this, or any other business for that matter.

So you price yourself at £750 a day.

or is it a two man job with moving etc..

I will check commercial manual to see if there is any diffrent marketing material to what I think you already have.

THanks for looking in the manual.

All is much appreciated.

According to my calculations that is only 463m2, at £2.59/m2 with your discount.

Without seeing the job I would expect two people should comfortably knock that off in one day without any problem.

I would have gone in at £1.10/m2, around £510+vat for the whole job, and I expect there are others who would price similarly.

If you get it well done. if you don't. don't be surprised.

Neil, good on you for getting what the job is worth.  As it simply is worth way more that 500 quid.

Who's idea was it  to discount the job?  I ask because 15% is a huge discount.

If you get yourself a truck mount you would be able to knock it out in a day but might struggle a bit with a portable.

Anyway, what is it you wanted???

Best, Dave.

I would expect that the £1.10 m2 is to bonnett buff and not a deep clean as Neil had probably quoted for ??

Yes Paul it is to deep clean the carpets as they have asked for gave them the options of types of cleaning they could have but the carpets needed a deep clean.
