That is the same symptoms as a flat/duff battery.

Lift it up and if the little light underneath is blinking than it's deffo battery.

i had a problem with my backpack about 4-5 months ago. It turned on ok, then it would turn on and off ove and over again.  like it was stuttering. I put it down to a duff battery, but it works fine now with the same battery. I think it just got too wet, and needed to dry out

The termainls on my battery were very slack and kept losing the connection. I nipped them tighter and I have not had a problem since.

Hi,

It does say in the manual for the backpack,... when the battery is running low, it will stop - start intermittenly, if you leave it five minutes it will work again for 5 mins....its simply telling you the battery needs charging.
