Title: Need new domestic pole.

With my Freedon trolley I got the 3 section fibreglass 18ft pole. Altho it's not heavy, I could do with a lighter and slightly longer one (maybe around 22ft).

There seem to be so many out there and Im not sure which is the best and lightest.

Can any of you recommend one?

under the new x-tell range 26 foot and the 22 foot are both on there and are a lot lighter than the universal range the clamps are nice

Post by: macmac on April 27, 2007, 07:21:32 pm: i would say any 24ft carbon pole, me, i have the facelift carbon & love it, i cant fault it at all but it is expensive for some people. imo though, it pays for itself.

Post by: aztec on April 27, 2007, 09:03:24 pm: you just screw sections together as you need them mate, i am not that hot on computers but if you search on ungers website it has all the info on them, trust me once you use them everything else seems useless, but be warned the brush it comes with is crap but that is easily rectified on your own with a little imagination, i just screwed a tucker brush on the end and it is so light and fast to assemble and use you wish you bought one years ago!! DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE PRICE IT IS WORTH IT but the bag is not really needed, just rack them as you would a normal pole (it will all make sense to you when you see the site)

its not tele its modular a totally different animal I love it
first bought it for the high stuff but now using it on any thing over 20'

Post by: aztec on April 27, 2007, 09:24:25 pm: chris i am not trying to sell the pole to anyone mate but have you seen or tried one they are great for anything mate, i know it sounds a lot but it comes with a guarantee and i have honestly been searching and trying out so many poles i must have spent double the £1475.00 finding the right pole, do you see where i am coming from this is the only one you will ever need just look after it, after all if it costs that much money i defy anyone to misuse it!!!

mine is the 44ft one bod but i remove sections & use it at 24ft 95% of the time. not sure how much the 24ft one is (think 44ft one is 750 + vat).
Forget modular ( unger/fishing poles) at 24ft domestic, not worth the hassle imo, too fragile, sections all over the place, no minor adjustments in height etc.
You'll not regret paying for the facelift, it is the king for domestic, light, rigid, very, very robust just a dream to use.
