hi, got my shurflo new backpack, and i am very pleased with it, the only thing that troubles me is the charger has no led light on it to indicate that its fully charged, are those 12v 7amp batterys inteligent, i mean they cannot over charge, am i correct. am sure jeff said it was, my email is down, and i cant reach jeff to ask him this question, if its not an inteligent battery, how long do i charge it for, also it may even be fully charge when it was delivered, i dont know for sure, any ideas anyone

Ring the company/person who supplied it.

i did phone, but they are all at the blackpool show :'(

Hi Joe, The batteries aren't intelligent but your charger may well be.
The one I and many others have just have the LED as a visual.
Check with your supplier after the show, but I think you will find you can't over charge it according to the manual.
When I charge mine the LED is red and after its charged, it turns green, the Length of charge depends on the amount of use it has during the day, yesterday mine took 3 hrs to charge, but today it took an hour.
If you are going to use your backpack all the time, every day, then I strongly recommend you buy a spare battery and alternate them each day.

i have a trickle charger that has a led indicator from halfords, could this be used?

i charge my surflo backback over night and i have had no problems with it.
I have even left it plugged in for a couple of days with no problems.
