Hi All,
My cousin normally works with me on a Tuesday, but this Tuesday just gone (24th) he had the day off, so I decided to do a few hours work on my own and take some pictures.
Here is the link to the info:
http://www.scs.uk.com/240407.html
I thought I would post the pricing info as well just for newbies to see what can be achieved in a short days work if you can find the right type of houses to clean.
Let me know what you think.

Hi Andy
In general do you tend to find the larger properties only have their windows cleaned 8-12 weeks.
I'm fortunate there are some affluent areas around Bolton (we are not all cobbled streets) Just wondering because I did'nt want to go in pushing for a 4 week clean.
Nice earner BTW
Cheers

Hi Wayne,
Yeah I do tend to find that to be honest. When I canvass I always go in at 8 weeks now, that way I can almost garauntee that they will want there windows cleaned every time I turn up!
Some bigger places do go for 12 weekly, I have a few as you can see... But in the main all my houses are 8 weekly. It's a bit more leg-work when you first setup and go out canvassing, but well worth it in the end.

Please bare in mind though that I can't earn that sort of money in that short space of time day in day out.
Plus remember - What you earn in a day is turn over, not profit!

aye i suppose i have "good earners" and "bad earners"
all money in the bag i suppose

I was thinking that. :o
How the hell do you ask £10 for a 5 1/2 window front only and get it?
£25 for a straightforward extended 4 bed?
That would be a good account at £12.
15 minutes work if you took your time.

I did a three story for fifteen the other day. Nearly finished and the customer just happens to slip in that they already had a cleaner who they pay £20 and can't reach the top windows!

2 of those 3 upstairs windows I'd count as doules, the one above the flat-roof would be a single, but theres also a fornt door there too, I thought it wa rather on the steep side at first glance, but on reflection, 1 big window so far as Im concerned is 2 windows.
£30.00 an hour, thats my target right now; well done.

My round is 6 weekly but I reckon it pays off in the long run. You can charge better prices. 9 times a year instead of 12 or 13.
Takes longer to build up but you hardly get anyone saying 'not this time'.

thats some nice jobs there
i have the odd days with great work but them prices are excellent if you can get them
£30pr hour is my minimum with the very odd exception of upto £60
would be great to hit that higher figure more often but its not always like that
well done
ive been needing some motivation lately and seeing those pictures has just given me the kick up the backside i needed
and i like the idea of 8 week cleans being accepted more than 4 week cleans on large houses maybe thats where i am going wrong
12years in the business and i am still learning !!!

Squeaky,
You need to change your thinking mate... My customers are happy with the prices I charge.

No, I need to live in Surrey.
-
I couldnt begin to get anything like them prices.
-
Andy glad to see someone charging the right prices, i have houses like yours and charge about the same (berkshire) but belive me there a few window cleaners who would charge about a tenner for tha £50 house how they make a living i do not know :o

Why did you only WFP the tops on some of the houses.

Andy
Pretty sure I saw your van when I was coming back from Gatwick. Is it white with just SCS on it?
Don't go much on ading your services do you, mine's like a newspaper, but there again yours must be distinctive for me to spot it the opposite side of a motorway. Also, the house's you service are not looking out the window at their neighbours window cleaner.
I have a similar strategy to you but am finding a lot of resitance. We've already got one thanks, at the larger properties.

I'm only using a trolley system at the moment... So I trad the lower windows just to save water really. As soon as I have my new van and system I'll WFP everything.

Nope, wasn't me! I don't have my current van signwritten.

I have to admit that I am now finding that the decision to activly target customers for 8 weekly cleans may be paying off for me....when we go to quotes we generally quote for both 4 and 8 weekly....it is rare that the custy will go for 4 weekly as they make the choice to save money by having our 8 weekly service...of course the 8 weekly is 50% more than the 4 weekly and lets face it...there is not a lot of difference between the two cleaning wise but the pay off is ;D ;D
As Andy has said..it takes a little longer time wise to build the round but it pays off in the end....I currently have 122 customers and project 220 to be my "golden" number.....
Cheers
Dave.
ps good prices Andy.
