Done some flood work over the last week or two but now it comes to the invoices i don't know what to charge. Can anyone help me with the pricing structure of flood work. Whats the going rate

Due to a full calendar I am not able to respond at short-notice, so that in itself would limit the amount of flood work I do.
Add to this the fact that I do not consider myself sufficiently qualified for full flood remediation work, so my involvement is limited to 'first-aid' treatment.
The pricing structure is basically a call-out charge plus site-time plus hire of any equipment left on site (blowers etc.). To this I add the cost of fungicides etc. used.
Area-based charging does not make sense for this sort of work since a great deal of time can be spent bringing in electricity from a neighbouring building, uplifting and refitting carpet, 'holding hands' with distraught customers or simply waiting for a process to complete.

You charge for your initial callout £40.00 and report £40.00. then the time you spend on site £25.00 per hour, then the hire of Blowers and dehumid's these can be in situ for 4/5 weeks (this is where the money is made, you then charge £30.00 per drying out check visit done every week hire kit is on site also donot forget to charge for hire of Skip and the removel and disposel of ant item written off by flood water damage!!
Or did you just go and suck the water out and called it Flood Restoration??
Did you get the client to sign any payments for the work you did that is going to be paid by the Insurance Co over to you, once these people see that cheque for £500/£600 they forget all about you.!!

Stick to cleaning carpets flood work to much of a headache

Depends on what type of flood, internal/white water £35 to £40 per hr use of TM £70 per hr, external/internal black water a lot more than £40 per hr John F has covered the other bits, never forget to charge for your time in cleaning/sanitizing your equipment.
