Title: Bulging Hose Pipes
Post by: Pittmonkey on April 21, 2007, 10:03:54 am
I’ve just finished my 1st van set –up all working fine :) I did notice the internal hose pipes PUMP-DI etc were bulging with the built up pressure. Is this normal? or should there only be a minimum amount of bulging.

I bought a cheap 20m £6 hose made in Germany but I don’t know what the PSI rating is (Yes from Lidle with the £5.00 5ltr garden sprayer BARGAIN!!).

Should I use a specific hose or do they all bulge?

I’ve reduced the pressure on the Varistream to ‘E’ and that looked better, but not sure if this pressure will be enough.

Thanks
Wayne

I forgot to turn my pump controller off the other day and come back to water dripping out of the van and that was microbore that had bulged and burst  I don't think the warm weather helped though. I have now changed all my connections inside the van to the clear reinforced stuff from Gardiners.

dont forget you will have more pressure to start with if you have a fresh DI vessel. this will ease in a few days.
