David,

The nearest equivalent Host machine, the T5, has been out of production for some years.

I consider to to be vastly superior  and even 20yrs ago was vastly more expensive.

The nearest modern equivalent incorporates a vacuum cleaner and ( guessed it) is in a totally different price league to the Sebo Duo.

John

Thanks for reply.

I'm looking at Ebay item 3835902862, I assume it operates on the same counter rotating brushes principle as the sebo duo but much sturdier. Another factor! Is it worth losing much of the day to collect. I have no idea of new price.

Ive got a host machine but not got a duo.  Its excellant and you can change the brushes for different types of carpet.

Its also heavier than the duo.  I would suggest that the duo may be adequate for light soiling and for heavy soiling use your rotary.

If the price is right then buy it.
